CPC non X Braced Competition

Recommended Posts

This is it!

Jim Slaton and the Canopy Piloting Circuit will organize a NON X BRACED SWOOP COMPETITION and SWOOP CAMP at Skydive the Farm, GA March 23-26, 2006.

This one of a kind swoop competition is being held as a test event for the Canopy Piloting Circuit. The competition is for amateur pilots only competing with conventional swoop canopies like Katana, Crossfire, Safire, Lotus, Samurai, etc.

Jim will provide daily seminars and offer a cash purse to the winners. For more info check out the "events" forum or log onto www.canopypiloting.com

Pro competitors will only be able to compete as "Guests" during this event and they cannot win any of the cash purse.

The non X braced competition is for the "rookie" & "advanced" class pilots on the CPC. Pilots who have never competed on the CPC before can still participate in this event by becoming CPC members.

The Swoop Camp is for everyone competing or preparing to get onto the circuit.

Im sure there will be a limit on weight, if allowed to wear any. but i doubt there will be separation in clases.

this event is a test event for a separate class in and of itself, no reason to make it into more classes.

but I couuld be wrong.:P

for those of you that might be coming from out of town. we have a bunkroom for free, but I would reserve your slot with hans ASAP.

go to www.skydivethefarm.com to get the DZ phone number and call him to reserve it.

If he runs out of bunks, im sure we can help out in finding places for you to crash, so you dont have to buy a hotel room.

Guys this is GREAT! Those of you that can make it better go after all the whining we did about wanting to compete on a level playing field. I am one of those whiners so working on trying to be there. Also props to those pro and advanced xbrace pilots willing to help train and prepare the rest of us for the event. This should be a good time for all with lots of learning to be done by the pilots!!

What day will the comp be happening?
Is the registration fee for just the comp or is the $120 a take it or leave it price?
I ask b/c even some of us locals wont be able to make to the entire event. I'd hate to pay for training I'm unable to attend. [:/]

Currently im 90% sure I will be there.
