Vectracide 0 #2 June 19, 2006 Thanks Stu! I'm still trying to process it all. Its funny how things turned out, as when I arrived that morning, I wasn't feeling on my game physically and more importantly, mentally. But after the first two rounds....it was game on. Your set up advice helped. As far as the distance round, you kicked some serious ass with a MASSIVE 434'. Thats at sea level folks. Very impressive. It was an enertaining day, as the smack talking came from all angles and much crow was eaten at the end. I look forward to Shelton and another event. See you guys there. sunnydee123 0 #3 June 19, 2006 Congrats again Brad - you are turning into my inspiration that it CAN be done on the Katana 107 . You guys are getting so lucky out there also with your weather conditions. Try dealing with a rather steady 14mph crosswind that liked to gust in the low 20's sporadically.....not a great last comp for us but at least someone, somewhere is having luck with the weather Gods. Ah heck - it's all a good learning experience but I freakin hate goose eggs! I think I might have to research coming to play out that way, just for the hell of it. One more "comp" couldn't hurt before CO ...you and your Katana heading to CO? Congrats again...........maybe see ya around D Dreams become reality, one choice at a time... CanuckInUSA 0 #4 June 19, 2006 QuoteI freakin hate goose eggs You're not alone here Dee ... on my way to Snohomish this last weekend it appears that I stopped off at the donut shop for one too many as all I seemed capable of doing was verting the 5 footers. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
sunnydee123 0 #5 June 19, 2006 too many donuts should have sunk you in the gates nicely but let's not get off track here....Congrats to Brad and to Stu for the super timely and very well written synopsis of the event. superstu 0 #6 June 19, 2006 Quote...and to Stu for the super timely and very well written synopsis of the event. i think i'm going to give up swooping and just write articles. thanks DeeSlip Stream Air Sports Do not go softly, do not go quietly, never back down
Vectracide 0 #7 June 19, 2006 Thanks Sunny! It definitely can be done, but it takes consistency to be competitive against the X-braced canopies. If I had verted or received penalties, I probably wouldn't of had the points to survive swoops like Stu's. I was down at Seb in Feb. for the East Side weekend. I'm not sure if I met you or not. Did my bro Jim introduce us? Did you go to his wedding in the Keys? Anyways, if you see Will there, give him a sharp smack to the back of the head and tell him its from Brad. Later.. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
Kolla 0 #8 June 19, 2006 Hey Brad! You da man!!! You have filled us at PD with pride and joy and the employees here are rooting for you, superhero-swooper style. I printed out Stu's website article and put on the wall for all to see, but now they demand a photo to go with it! Please e-mail me a photo of you and your Katana so I can hang it up next to the article! Blue ones, Kolla Kolbeinsdottir Performance Designs, Inc - The maker of the KATANA!! PS, I'm dead serious about the photo, so send it!!Blue Skies Magazine

sunnydee123 0 #12 June 20, 2006 Hmmmm, I've been traveling so much it seems rare I am around Sebastian anymore but I know Jim and the one time Eastside kids so perhaps we have met, but if not, I might see ya sooner than later and you can show me your flying abilities in person. Maybe July 8th or so. Only problem is I've wanted to see the area and not just the DZ Keep flying that Katana and making PD and us non-cross braced folks inspired. And true, it's all about consistency.......................and also good teachers along the way Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Vectracide 0 #18 June 23, 2006 The best part about it, was I was still at 4k watching him enter then spit out the side of the course. I looked at Todd and said "I think Stu just beatered" But I knew he was ok, as I didn't see everyone running towards him. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
