SkymonkeyONE 4 #2 July 10, 2006 If you organize one there will be. Airzone gave up trying I think.

SkymonkeyONE 4 #4 July 11, 2006 I mean that they got very little in return for the effort they put out running the meet. It was a PPPB meet the last year at Quincy with Reggie running the meet and Airzone running the announcing. After that, it was always just the Airzone girls putting it on and even putting up what prize money there was (above registration fees) out of their pockets. The last one they ran that I was at (two years ago) had quite a few competitors, but I remember them saying last year that they were giving up and were looking for another individual or group to run one. I presume that's still the deal this year. It was them that maintained the pond and provided most of the airblades. The pond will certainly still be there (and full), but I have no idea who, if anyone, is going to maintain it or if anyone has ponied up to organize a meet. CanopyPiloting 0 #5 July 17, 2006 Don Yarling contacted the Pro Swooping Tour last week to see if the tour would organize some kind of swoop competition or event at this year's WFFC but no decision has been made as of Monday July 17th...

AirZoneXtreme 0 #7 July 18, 2006 We will be there... as always. Our 13th year. Sorry that our response to this thread was not sooner. We'll be arriving this Thursday evening, and the pond will be open for swooping for ten fabulous days! It's currently being smoothed out with lots of new sand. Our plans are to conduct a FREEDOM SWOOP COMPETITION on Friday the 28th. Three rounds will determine the winner. No registration fee. http://www.airzonextreme.com/news.htm Swoop footage from WFFC can be viewed on the "Xtreme Media" page http://www.airzonextreme.com/media.htm

AirZoneXtreme 0 #9 September 15, 2006 Hello! I've been so busy planning my wedding that I forgot to re-post about the WFFC swoop comp results. I updated our site weeks ago and emailed the competitors, but here we are.... It was a great day out on the pond. Annie & I were amazed with the turn out. WFFC was fun, but the huge thunderstorms produced from the heat wave in July surprised everyone. It was a matter of survival. The storms cleared, and the Friday sunset was beautiful! Zachary Mullins, who is 15 years old, swooped into 1st place! Karen Lewis followed in 2nd with her beautiful, bikini clad body. Jesse Martin placed 3rd! Ryan Clough, Rob Smalley, Bundy Taylor and Travis tied for 4th & 5th places. It was fun, and we're looking forward to next year! Check out the photo gallery... http://airzonextreme.com/news.htm Lots of water... in the pond & out
