swooper81 0 #1 August 24, 2006 so i'm kind of curious about something. Deadalus(sp) canopies doesn't have a demo program, the JVX is the most expensive swoop canopy on the market right now, and is only available through the factory, so why are people switching from what they know and can demo (ie velocity) to the JVX? What are most of you higher up swoopers looking at that is making you and others switch? why did you switch or why do you think others are switching? i was just curious cause it seems like a ton of people are switching from velo's or vx's or xaos's to the JVX, and even though i'm no where close to that skill level yet i'm just kind of wondering. Which I can totally understand cause I like new toys too It is a very nicely performing wing, no doubt, but I'd hardly say it's outperforming the other wings out there significantly. Case in point, on a practice round for the PST meet in CO there were 4 of use standing over the 520 foot mark. 3 JVX's and 1 Velo. None seemed to significantly out perform the other. It still comes down to the pilot. Just look at the CPC results, there was a fair representation of wing types there (VX, Velo and JVX). Like Mark said though, it's a good thing for everyone involved. I doubt you'll find the other major players just sitting back and being happy with people switching. I look forward to the next generation of wings, whenever they come Blues, IanTo the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
 marks 0 #5 August 25, 2006 QuoteLike Mark said though, it's a good thing for everyone involved.
