diablopilot 2 #2 September 19, 2006 RWS truelock sliders are avaliable from.....RWS. The don't come standard with the "slocks" that you are speaking of. That's something a good rigger can add to your riser of choice.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. AggieDave 6 #3 September 19, 2006 The trulock system has to do with the toggles. What you're looking for are slocks (if I remember correctly). There have been a few variations of the slider locks on DZ.com over the years. The absolute fix is a partial RDS in which you remove the slider, but that solution isn't for everyone. Do a search, you'll find some threads about it as well as diagrams for your rigger to add slocks to your risers. All in all its very simple and would be a very quick mod for a rigger to do.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." bob.dino 1 #4 September 19, 2006 I don't believe slider locks come standard on any risers, but can be added to most (all?) risers, either at time of manufacture or after the fact. Velocity Sports Equipment put them on for me when I ordered a pair of Infinity risers. Here's a sample diagram.

meatbomb 0 #6 September 19, 2006 Here's a diagram I made so my local rigger could copy the Icarus demo riser slocks, cos I love'em...--- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies
AndyMan 7 #7 September 19, 2006 Print this page and hand it to your rigger: http://www.bigairsportz.com/article.php#slider _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
pr0ject42 0 #8 September 19, 2006 I've got the big air sportz variety on one of my sets of risers and like them a lot. They are simple, work well and don't take any thought to deal with, as opposed to having the velcro thingy on your reserve flap or your jumpsuit. I never liked those systems, always were a pain in the butt, in my opinion.
riggerrob 643 #9 September 21, 2006 I have built a couple different versions of slider-catchers. Hee! Hee! Flash back, man! Why those the term slider-catcher remind me of little birds flying around stealing sliders??? ... sort of like tiny gnat-catcher birds ... Hee! Hee! I built the first pattern a decade ago while working for Rigging Innovations. They were made from 1" wide Type 3 tape wrapped around a flat plastic stiffener (3/4" wide). They formed a down-ward facing barb that caught the slider once it was pulled down within two inches of the crotch. A couple of years ago, Andreas asked me to sew some triangular slider-catchers to his risers. It took me three prototypes, but I finally figured out that a 3 inch long piece of Type 4 tape (1.5 inch wide) folded into a triangle worked best. Triangular slider-catchers are even easier to sew than Brian Germain's Slocks.
Cloggy 1 #10 September 21, 2006 And yet another design: Paratec even sells riser barbs in a kit: http://p4961.typo3server.info/65.0.html?&L=
riggerrob 643 #11 September 21, 2006 Yes, Paratec's riser barbs are similar to Sandy's pattern for slider-catchers.
hparrish 0 #12 September 21, 2006 They came standard on the Vortex II container. Well the sliders that came with the container anyway. But I agree a rigger could easily perform this mod. Nothing more than a little stiffener stripp added to the the risers. I like mine.
deadbug 0 #13 September 22, 2006 Our rigger has been installing the cool little slider catches for a couple of years for people. I had them installed about a year ago and of all the different ways to stow a slider, this is by far the quickest easiest way I have found.
