Cobalt 25 jumped

catfish and eric have been jumping the cobalt 25. opens great at terminal, hyper responsive. flies straight in twists. wing loading from 8:1 to 11:1

the video is a trip....
no plans for landing it any time soon.

That's not two bridles, that's an artifact of NTSC video called "interlace".

If Dan were to take the origianl frame grabs into PhotoShop, he could easily remove one of the firelds and make this all look -much- better.

Or, if he'd like to send -me- the originals, I'd be willing to do it for him.

thanks..on your suggestion i played around in photoshop and found the deinterlace filter...wow big difference.

i just edited the original post and put up the corrected pics...

video: in about a week it should be posted.

Would it actually be possible to land one of these with a wing loading of 8:1??? If you are crazy enough I mean. Is negative vertical speed possible?
I'd like to see the video :)

Maybe it would be safer to land something with a little more sqr/f, like a wingsuit...:P

Well, the wing loading on wingsuits generally varies in the range between 10 and 15 lbs/sqft when the whole body area is also counted in. So I'd prefer landing a canopy with a 8:1 wingload, than my Skyflyer... And with a 25sqft canopy my wl would be around 6:1 :D
