madflying 0 #1 May 4, 2008 We would like to compliment Bruno Broken for his new world record 155.52 m, establish at Skydive Lillo in Spain during the last round of the competition. The organization is trying its best to make the record official, but we were all there, he swooped the course and amazed all the competitors and visitors with his skills. Thanks Bruno I would also like to thank Ainoa Boyd for allowing me to use her pictures for this post Thank you
everymansaved 0 #2 May 4, 2008 Congrats to Mr. Broken. Do you have info on canopy, wingloading, winds, weights, etc...?God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
madflying 0 #3 May 4, 2008 Weights: he is a big guy, he does not use weights Canopy: Velocity, not sure about the size, but small (at least for me) Winds: 8Knots downwind (if i remember well) I will update all the info as soon as my brain recovers from the party

CanuckInUSA 0 #5 May 4, 2008 I am confused 155.52 meters or 510.25 feet is an awesome swoop (can't take anything away from Bruno for this), but people have gone farther in the past. Like Jay Moledski going 678 feet in 2005. Have I been sleeping at the wheel and someone decided to strip Jay of his 678 foot swoop? Why is this swoop now claimed as a world record swoop? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

madflying 0 #7 May 4, 2008 that is why I said that the organization, skydive lillo, is trying to homologate the distance.
crazydiver 0 #8 May 5, 2008 I believe that Jaymo "reset" his world record last year after the new weight restricions were in place. I don't know what his distance on that one was, but I'm guessing that Bruno's broke Jay's record from last year. Cheers, Travis
morris 0 #9 May 5, 2008 Detailed infos please, especially about the winds, thanks! On the video you can see a blade for a moment and the downwind looks pretts strong, I´d like to know how strong it was and if it was coming straight or at an angle. Blink 1 #20 May 7, 2008 Quote Quote I would like to add that Jay jumps a prototype... prototype doesn't always equal better. You're right, but do you think he would be competing with a prototype if it wasn't better then the original itself? That would be (in my eyes) pointless.
