Floflo 0 #26 October 5, 2009 Quote Has anyone ever flown a Springo with wing loading it at 1.6? Yes, I have a Springo 120 loaded at 1.6 in my second rig. As written, I've always had very nice on heading openings, the glide is great as it is trimmed quite flat, what also means the recovery arc is very short. It is very responsive on toggle input, the front risers pressure is "regular" and it stalls quickly when using the rears (What you don't have to do anyway.). I understand you're looking for a 140, which has exactly the same characteristics. In case you'd be looking for a 110, it's a very different animal. You can ask if you want more detail, as I have 300 jumps on Springos, from 160 to 110 sf.
jerolim 7 #27 October 5, 2009 Hey, I didn't say like brand new I said fabric feels like brand new ! I also said around 300 jumps with original line set. Like I said in e-mail : I was sure that line trim cause for my bad landings. I was complaining to bad botom flare. Somebody said that it is old desing and I should not invest money into a line trim, so I ordered Atair (Slovenian) Radical 135. While I was waiting for Radical to be done, I did some playing with lines, and I've extended control lines for few centimeters, and my landings improved dramaticaly. So I have found out that problem that I was stalling it on every landing ;( Anyway if you wish do do a linetrim you can do it but it is not mandatory. Also, only 2 lines (complete cascade) on left side, and 2 lines on right side should be replaced because they have schrinked a little, so this will not cost much. Now because I have Radical I am selling Springo,... I also belive that Radical is better for swooping
ricardop0318 0 #28 September 1, 2014 I was just flying a 140 springo yesterday. Did 4 jumps on it and quickly realized that it flies with very quick recovery arc, a bit like a stilletto but extremely touchy, and if you hold a good flare down in this cannopy, it will collapse on you and drop you so practice it high up. Flare must be done close to perfect. I wasn't impressed. I will probably never jump it again unless I absolutely have to. Too many other good cannopies out there. This one was definitely not a cannopy I would ever like to spend any money on. My two cent. R
