JohnDeere 0 #2 February 13, 2009 I have never built a swoop pond but i own an enviromantal company and deal simular things. This is my supplier here in Texas and they have locations all around. http://www.lonestarproducts.com/locations.asp They have liners and can help you find a local installer. If you would like to use my company name to get a discount then PM me but it will be COD.Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers! Rdutch 0 #3 February 15, 2009 There are more than one way to line a pond, you can hire a company to install a plastic liner, which is rolled out and welded together with a plastic weld machine, or depending on your area, you can line your pond with gumbo, or clay. In florida Gumbo is a nuicance so it is relatively cheap to come across, sometimes you can find someone that will trade you load for load dirt for gumbo. gumbo cant be used for anything, it is usually placed in pond slopes and covered wtih dirt to hide it. Clay on the other hand might be more expensive. Based on your area clay might be easy to find, have the people digging your pond dig a test hole, they might even find clay there, if so mine the clay and have them cut your pond three feet deeper on the bottom and the slopes, put a two foot clay liner and a one foot dirt cover for the grass to grow on. The clay will hold water quite well. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
