wuziwagner 0 #4 February 16, 2010 i think we can expect this: 61ST FAI / IPC PLENARY MEETING, LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND – 30TH - 31ST JANUARY 2010 Subject: CANOPY PILOTING COMPETITON RULES – PROPOSED CHANGES Annex No. - 40 Author(s): Thomas Tuominen, Chair, Canopy Piloting Committee Agenda ref. - 15.4 Date: 11 December 2009 Page 1 of 1 CP Summary of Rule Changes – 2010 Minor housekeeping issues Change Zone Accuracy to Accuracy Event 4.8 Re-jumps – now to read Re-jumps due to weather conditions: If the winds exceed the maximum limit at any time after the competitor initiates their turn to final approach, and ending when the competitor either passes through the electronic sensors at the end of the course or makes final contact with the surface, the competitor will be awarded a re-jump by the Chief Judge or Event Judge. 4.9.1 Wind speeds ………….add If the winds exceed 5 meters per second they shall be monitored constantly until the winds have remained below 5 meters per second for at least 15 minutes. 5.6 add If a course marker has been rendered non functional and is unable to be repaired before the next competitor(s) navigate the course, those competitor(s) shall not receive a re-jump if in the opinion of the Event Judge and/or Chief Judge the condition of the course marker has not affected the scoring of those competitor(s). Changes to 5.9, 6.5 & 7.10 5.9 Scores for each round are recorded as the time (or kph) taken to navigate the course. For the Combined score ………………. 6.5 Scores for each round are recorded as the distance reached in navigating the course. For the Combined score ……………………. 7.10 Scores for each round are recorded as the cumulative number of points awarded for navigating the course. For the Combined score ………………………. Changes to 9.1 Champion of each Event: The competitor with the best score highest total number of points after completed rounds in each event. If two or more competitors have the same score cumulative total number of points the competitor with the highest score in any round of the event will have the higher standing.
