NorCal Swooping!!

Recommended Posts

Hey NorCal Canopy Pilots - Listen Up

I know there are a few canopy pilots out there looking for some fun competition and some warm up's prior to Nationals being held on September 1-4. Skydive Sacramento is hosting its third meet of the NCCPA Season, July 10th.

Lets get a kick ass competition going and enjoy some nice BBQ and Beer after sunset next weekend. Skydive Sacramento has been providing great support for these events with video of every entry, spotters, judges, and discounted jumps. The events would be even better with more pilots to keep the competition going. If you are at all interested please talk with Peter Galli or myself.

Florida and Texas have some great leagues going right now and it would be great to get California on the map too. Lets re-build the NorCal Canopy Piloting league.

You don't have to be an experienced competitive pilot to enjoy the event. I had never competed until this year myself. Come with a good attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to demonstrate good decision making and safe high performance landings.

Start time is 9am with Competitor Briefing and then jumps. Please be on time. If you haven’t jumped this year at Skydive Sacramento, please arrive with enough time to fill out paperwork, waiver and gear check.

It’s been a good season so far and we want to finish the last meet strong. Jumps, BBQ, BEER and video. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email.

If you know you're going to participate please let us know.

Hope to see you out on July 10th!

Thanks to Skydive Sacramento for hosting the event and thanks to Peter Galli for organizing. As of now, this was the third and final meet of the season. There may be some unrelated events if there is interest.

Food and BBQ was great too!

Good luck to those of you attending the Canopy Piloting Nationals September 1 -4 in Spaceland.
