paramonoff 0 #1 October 21, 2010 In order to learn some basics of Google Earth API I’ve made a small simulator for training you ability to find the Destination Point of your canopy flight. In order to use it you need the Google Earth plug-in installed in your browser. If you don’t have it, download it here. http://www.google.com/earth/index.html How to use it: 1. Select some DZ (or funny place) from drop-down combo. 2. Press “Start exercise”. Trainer will put you in some random location near your DZ and simulate the return flight in direction to DZ with random wind and speed conditions. 3. Scratch your brain and try to understand to where you’re going. Mouse-click this point. 4. See if you were right or not. Start another exercise. Here is the simulator: http://paramonoff.net/index.html If you like to see your home DZ in the list, keep here the Google-maps link to it. Have a fun… update: thanks for correction.
