gaz511 0 #1 February 4, 2011 Is anyone out there jumping an RDS slider on a Mamba? I have a Mamba 104 loaded at 2.0 and was thinking about having one on there, i know the various pro's and cons, i'm interested in how people were getting on with them on Mamba's, e.g quick or slow openings, any unusual wear and tear etc? Secondly, my plan is to eventually get onto a Velo towards the end of the summer or when i'm ready to go x-braced, ideally it would easyier if the slider is the same size and i could move it from the Mamba to the Velo but i realise thats most likely not the case. But i thought it's worth asking anyway..... does anyone know the slider dimensions on Velo 103, 96 or 90 so i could make a comparison. jacketsdb23 49 #2 February 4, 2011 You could always cut the mamba up when you are done with it and sew your new slider for the Velo out of it. Its the best thing you could do for the Mamba. Sorry - not a helpful post. Losers make excuses, Winners make it happen God is Good Beer is Great Swoopers are crazy.
gaz511 0 #3 February 4, 2011 Ha ha you really don't like Mamba's do you. I'd love to jump a Velo now but i know i can learn much much more on a 9 cell first.
RichLees 0 #4 February 5, 2011 you'll find velo slider sizes on PD's site. I think they only use 2 sizes. My lookma RDS is slightly oversize and worked well on 120 and 103. The lanyard can whip the tail and cause holes
rem 0 #5 February 5, 2011 before replacing the slider, you can already remove the deployement bag and extraction, simply by modifying your current slider. as you can see in the PD .pdf explaining how to use the RDS, you just have to install a "lanyard"between the slider and the attachement point of the deployement bag and killline. easy to use, and remove if you want. when opening, the slider go down with the extraction, you fix the slider with, for example, a "Skytie", and you pick up and slip into your suit all the deployement bag, kill line, pilotchute. ok, the slider stay on your neck, maybe he disturb you for freestyle swoop, but, for speed and distance, you gain less drag on the topskin.niques tout, chies d'dans...
