jeanneretjerome 24 #26 November 20, 2014 Not too sure, but to me, it is not about inflatable stabilizer, but about increasing the wing arc. The increase curvature at the tip of the wing so having a cell instead of a stab, improve the glide ratio, increase structural wing stability, and improve pitch stability. danielcroft 2 #27 November 20, 2014 Speed-FlyerAre you saying these canopies are in fact a schuemann planform or? I guess my impression was that the concepts espoused by Schuemann were on a continuum, meaning that there's an ideal but progression towards that planform would yield maybe sub-optimal results until the ideal was reached? On inflatable stabilizers, the anecdotal evidence I've heard is that wings with them feel more controlled and precise while turning but I don't have enough jumps on either to have my own opinion. Any other wings (than VK) have them?

degeneration 5 #30 November 21, 2014 Pretty sure some Firebird canopies that are No longer in production had inflatable stabilizers too.Sky Switches - Affordable stills camera tongue switches and conversion adaptors, supporting various brands of camera (Canon, Sony, Nikon, Panasonic). EvilGenius 0 #33 May 24, 2017 So a couple of year pass and we now have two Schuemanny planform non-crossbraced canopies with inflatable stabilizers, the Tesla (Fluid Wings) and the X-Fire (Icarus). Seems odd that neither PD or NZ aerosports seem to be in a hurry to start down this path, any ideas what's going on? Has anybody out there flow one of these and a Katana, I'd love to know how they stack up? p.s. Pretty sure the crossfire 3 doesn't have these characteristics
ph.nilsson 0 #34 June 20, 2017 I would also be interested in a comparison like this, anyone sitting on something juicy? In my book, a katana with crossfire-isch openings would be close to an ideal canopy...
