gvb 0 #1 February 6, 2015 I'm working on a XRW project where we'd like to have a camera up in the canopy or suspension lines, facing down to get a view of the canopy and wingsuit pilots. I've seen some pulley systems on paragliders, and some other methods on larger parachutes... was just curious if anyone has rigged something like this on a heavily loaded high performance canopy flying at XRW speeds. Any ideas?
piisfish 140 #2 February 6, 2015 Get ahold of my friend Will Penny from Babylon in Empuriabrava. He got some good system. Pictures on his FBscissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
keithbar 1 #3 February 6, 2015 There was a thread on this awhile back. Someone had a pocket sewn into the bottom skin with a go pro in it. The downside was you had to start it recording before closing the container. So you had to pack on the 5 min call i have on occasion been accused of pulling low . My response. Naw I wasn't low I'm just such a big guy I look closer than I really am .
cs_troyk 0 #4 February 7, 2015 I'm working on a pocket system, too. Sewn-on version of something like https://aerolight.com/A/index.php/products/paragliding/pg-accessories/apco-magnetic-gopro-mount-detail. My hope is that I can use a remote to turn the camera on when it's packed into the container. Anyone tried that?

GreggB 0 #6 February 7, 2015 http://www.apcoaviation.com/DL/magnetic_GoPro/ Magnets are the usual PG solution. No idea about slider interference/camera staying on through deployment.
