NV1 0 #1 April 7, 2016 Has anybody experience on the Sensei by Aerodyne? How is it in comparision to a Velo?
mattjw916 2 #3 April 14, 2016 I haven't tried it, but I really haven't heard anything really positive about it from those that have relative to the Velo performance wise.NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
TommyBotten 0 #4 April 14, 2016 Slower, flatter, much shorter recovery arc. Less searching in openings. I've seen a steeper version, the "Sensei Q"s out on DZs, but It's not listed on Aerodynes webpages. Haven't tried it myself though.
NV1 0 #5 April 15, 2016 If it´s flatter and slower than the Velo, would you say it´s a good choice for a first xbraced wing?
Pobrause 6 #6 April 15, 2016 only if you get it really cheap. Resale value is basicallly nonexistent. And no, if you`re not ready for a velo you also have no business under a sensei.------------------------------------------------------- To absent friends
danielcroft 2 #7 April 15, 2016 Not that I'd recommend it without seeing you fly but, a lot of people I know think the Xaos is a good "first x-brace". Take responsibility for the choices you make; if you want to fly a grown ass person wing, get grown ass person serious about learning it.
BrianSGermain 1 #8 April 15, 2016 The Sensei "Q" is definitely a longer recovery arc, and faster overall. I have been flying this version of the Sensei for several years and I am really happy with it. The non-cascaded version also dives more than the original lineset. That version is already available, and the Q will be very soon. Either way, I personally prefer it to the velocity, and would rather someone fly it as a first XB than others out there.Instructional Videos:www.AdventureWisdom.com Keynote Speaking:www.TranscendingFEAR.com Canopies and Courses:www.BIGAIRSPORTZ.com
cmulli4 0 #9 May 1, 2016 I have a Sensei which is a beast. All sail re-trimmed, dives like a SOB, but just right (took a couple of tries on the lineset). Lots of bottom end. As you know Brian, the sail takes a little more aggression on the lineset due to the increased lift. Great canopy. Quote
