kallend 2,106 #26 June 6, 2003 QuoteI'm just wondering how the swoop cord works on a RW suit. I don't know where to sew that Martin In my 3 RW suits" 1 has a channel across the lower back that a continuous swoop cord is threaded through, 2 has the cords sewn to the lower back seam, 3 has three D-rings sewn to the lower back seam one on each side and one inthe middle), and the continuous swoop cord passes through 1 is hardest to make. 2 is easiest to make but each cord must be adjusted independently. 3 is almost as easy as 2. If you have any sewing skills at all you can sew D-rings (from a fabric store) to the suit.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. paulagc 0 #27 June 18, 2003 Val...Paula here. I like my swoop cords, and there are times that they come in handy, as you know. If you have some extra room in the underarm area, Ward's got a good mod that he's done on several suits for people that want swoops but didn't have them. Visit us some weekend and we can do it. ChileRelleno 0 #28 June 26, 2003 Or my dearly beloved daughter you can go buy a "Brandi Belt" a belt on swoop cord made by Flitesuit, it is a continuous swoop cord and may be belted on or even better sewn in to your jumpsuit.
