bertthebaron 0 #52 October 5, 2003 It's not at all a bad thing to pay for a coaches lift ticket. I have payed for jumps and later I was payed to help new divers learn. It comes around full circle in time. The good thing is that you can have the coach help you with what you want, and their eyes in freefall and the later criteque are well worth the lift money. One of the best practice jumps is no contact, nose to nose at 1 or 2 feet seperation, followed by orbits. When you can swoop into this position, docking is no problem. Remember to watch your closing speed, take your time and relax. Oh, and pull at a safe altitude cuz the ground is always hungry! philly51 0 #54 October 7, 2003 I believe that all newbies have experienced the same problem. Low numbers equal no jumps with the "skygods". Try to find another "low timer/s" to do anything but solos. Hang out, get your face known and ask questions! If all else fails, go to the DZO and ask for some input.
