skydance1954 0 #1 July 11, 2003 Would anyone out there happen to have copies of the old 4-way dive pools from years before 2000?Mike Ashley D-18460 Canadian A-
BikerBabe 0 #2 July 14, 2003 I would also be interested in this...if anyone has any, please let me know, as well.Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!
RozeAY 0 #3 July 15, 2003 You could always try asking Tim and Ted Wagner from Omniskore . They might have copies around somewhere.
rehmwa 2 #4 July 15, 2003 Also interested. Things like Star-Start, Danish Tee-Bipole, Helix are always good to know for interesting new dives. ... skydance1954 0 #5 July 15, 2003 Great Idea, I should have thought of that. So I did check, but they tell me that they don't have any such records....Mike Ashley D-18460 Canadian A-
RozeAY 0 #6 July 16, 2003 You could always try USPA.
BikerBabe 0 #7 July 16, 2003 Tried...they don't keep them. I think asking around is the best way, probably. On a separate but related note...would anyone here be interested in doing a meet that consisted of ONLY old blocks and randoms? Like if we could dig up a bunch of old dive pools and make sure the draw consisted of mostly (if not all) the old stuff? Just wondering...I think it might be pretty cool.Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!
smooth 0 #8 July 16, 2003 I have some back issues of Parachutist. When I get a little free time I'll scan the dive pools from them and upload them here.

Zoltan 0 #12 July 18, 2003 yeah... i'm still upset about the snow-snow... it was one of my favourite, the Black Hole-Bipole was also an interesting block... :) z
Ron 10 #13 July 18, 2003 Quotei'm still upset about the snow-snow Yeah, but it was way to fast...it was almost hard to judge."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers,
Zoltan 0 #14 July 21, 2003 that is true and i fuly agree that it is good idea to slow down the 4way jumps.... but the snow-snow block had a very unique transition what i miss from the pool and with the not so hot teams it was a good training block. z
skydance1954 0 #15 July 29, 2003 Well, if the object is to slow down 4-way, then maybe they should put interlocks back into the pool.Mike Ashley D-18460 Canadian A-
darkwing 5 #16 July 30, 2003 can you describe the snow-snow block to me? -- Jeff My Skydiving History
Zoltan 0 #17 July 30, 2003 It was the block nr 1. snowflake-snowflake http://www.wcfauna.ee/~peedu/fs4/1/dp1.jpg The block started as snowflake-offset would start, but after the center grip is released and there are two 2way cats relatively shifted a bit and the tails of these cats are releasing their cat grip and turning on a way that they offer their legs for a cat grip to the head of the other cat pair... so there is a new cat-cat form which can be closed to a new snowflake. By cheating with the grips this block was really fast and very sensitive for staging. I liked it z
Zoltan 0 #18 July 30, 2003 honestly :) i have no idea what is the object... i just speculate :) z
rehmwa 2 #19 November 3, 2003 Bump, I remember this post I was at Lodi last month. A guy (a very good cameraman with a locker) there has a pool from the early 1980's I'm not local, but if someone is around there, you can find him, a blow up of one of the pages is hanging on the wall near the ceiling above his locker. I bet he'd let you copy it. ...
