Vented Booties

Recommended Posts

I remember afterburners, but not 'vented booties'. I hated the afterburners - a teammate once got them, they'd just inflate randomly and messed up his performance something serious.

I just recently got a Tony Suit with the vented booties option. I like them a lot. They recommended them for people who tend to fall on the fast side (which I definitely do).

I've never had a problem with them "randomly inflating" or anything like that (I have about 15 jumps and 30 minutes tunnel time with them). The only time that they felt strange at all was when I was forgetting to point my toes. Overall, I think it's a fantastic option.

I got them on my new suit. I like them a lot. They don't inflate until my legs are almost straight out, so they don't change anything until I track. Then I notice a difference.

Hi!
I have jumped last year with a Parasport vented booties, the same used by the French National Teams, Italy Sinapsi PD and a few Golden Knights. My opinion is that a vented bootie is a way to have a rigid bootie in every movement, but this could be obtained also with a tight cordura mega bootie (look at Tony Suits with Mega Booties), or with something inside the bootie to keep its shape (the Bev Suit Majik Style booties could have something similar, but I haven't seen them yet).
Anyway you might feel the difference of a vented bootie when you track, but on the RW action there is not so much difference.
Look at the Pros what they are able to do after having lost a bootie during the exit...

Legs come 'straight out' quite a bit during 4-way. No thanks.

Some of us do more than 4-way RW
