GQ_jumper 4 #1 August 25, 2005 This poll is for the 4-way event, but post your predicitions for the 8, 10, and 16 way here as well. My vote 4-way The Airspeed lineups and Fire are going to battle it out until the last round with Airspeed Velocity coming out on top, I've got a feeling its going to come down to a single point though. 8-way The knights are going to put up a solid fight but will lose to Airspeed 8 by at least 13 points. 10-way WHO CARES WHO WINS!!! 10-way is all about having fun right? OK OK, Airspeed(who would've guessed?!?!) 16-way They won last year, and its gonna happen again in 2005. AIRSPEED!!!!History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
skykittykat 0 #2 August 25, 2005 I think it is going to be tough to predict who will win 4-way - it will basically come down to whichever team of the 3 top teams (Airspeed x2 and Fire) as to who is on top form on the day. I agree, I think it will only be won by a point or so. I wouldn't even like to hazard a guess, although I would like to see Velocity take the Gold. 8-way - Airspeed - there aren't any other teams out there doing the same amount of training in 8-way as Airspeed. 10 and 16 way - Play time and probably just a couple more golds for Airspeed to lug home! In Intermediate 8-way, it will be the Perris Devi8s! Of course! (heh, that's my 8-way team) The others? Whatever, I'll be jumping and having fun... It's going to ba a great year. This is very true, talking with a couple of them a few weeks ago they are apparently putting in more training jumps to prep for Nats than Fire is. Not to mention they now have access to the 14 foot tunnel, and are able to turn pretty much ever block in there, which is nearly impossible in the 12 footers, unless your team is full of midgets.History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. UKFSChick 0 #14 August 29, 2005 QuoteFire/Last years Blade...Last year in third, but was a guest, this year is legal, Ummm...Ron, correct me if I'm wrong (like you wouldn't anyway ) but isn't Fire just 1/4 of last year's Blade? So pretty much a totally different team? Or is it 2 or the same members, can't remember? Which is not to say they won't kick arse either way etc etc... GQ_jumper 4 #16 August 30, 2005 I think this years Fire has more talent than last year's Blade. Blade was a great team, but now with the addition of Ian and Shannon, and Thomas Hughes as an alternate they are much stronger.History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Ron 10 #17 August 30, 2005 QuoteUmmm...Ron, correct me if I'm wrong (like you wouldn't anyway ) but isn't Fire just 1/4 of last year's Blade? So pretty much a totally different team? Or is it 2 or the same members, can't remember? Well kinda. Bob went to Majik and Mark is doing another PC team. Thomas is doing Black Majik. So yes, it is a new team, but the one member who was on Blade, was Natasha, and for a person with around 1,000 jumps to place third (but not medal) is pretty damn impressive. Fire is stonger than Blade was. So you are right, its not the same team. My point was the weakest member last year is better and the team is better than last year."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers,
