mountainman 0 #1 July 6, 2001 I am wondering if you can get a fish-eye lens for a PC-5. Also, I hear that they are pretty expensive lenses. How much does one go for??Thanks!MORE SKYDIVING PHOTOS ADDED!!!http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura/

RemiAndKaren 0 #5 July 10, 2001 I am by no means an expert (ie I only read about that stuff.. ) but I think a .42 lens officially qualifies as a fish eye, while a .5 is pretty close enough.....have a look at http://www.ground-rush.com/headwear.htm, they have a few links on photography and some get into explanations.... lewmonst 0 #8 September 11, 2001 brandon, 1st of all, fisheye is refered to primarily for still photography, and yes, those are expensive.a .42 is plenty wide for video, and easy to come-by for any sony cam or any typical video cam we use. try ebay or b&hBUT FOR THE SAKE OF LAURA, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT STRAPPING A CAMERA ON YOUR HEAD YETlew

cameramonkey 0 #13 September 11, 2001 Why else would you ask about cameras in a skydiving forum? We just have to assume that is what you are planning. You arent the first person we have seen with low time asking about cameras (they had intent to jump them). Dont take it personally, we just care about you. When we encourage you to do dangerous things, then beware :) .
mountainman 0 #14 September 11, 2001 I was just curious since I see a lot of "fish eye" pictures and they look SCHWEET. I would agree with Lew on not having one yet, but is it too early to start learning?? That is like people who are asking questions about more agressive canopies. Oh well.....I am used to this anyway.--------------Boogie pics coming!!!
