fonzi 0 #1 May 15, 2002 i read a lot about sonys dcr-pc 1/2/3/5/7/9/101/120 ...but no information about the dcr-pc 10 anything wrong with that cam that nobody seems to use it? bsbd, fonzi life is to short for the pimp
 jdhill 0 #2 May 15, 2002 The PC-10 was the predecessor to the PC-1 and 100 and was based on the PC-7 (just had more features). From what I have heard and seen they work great, just an older model. One good feature is that the VTR controls are accessible w/o opening the screen, one bad is the battery (the 7 and 10 are the only cameras that use that type and they may be hard to find as the cameras are no longer made).Joshhttp://www.aerialfusion.com
 nacmacfeegle 0 #3 May 15, 2002 Yup about what Josh says re batteries, but I think you can get copies (ie non sony) batteries from Keene in the UK.The main difference between the 7 and the 10 was that the 7 had a plastic lens, and the 10 has a Carl Zeiss glass lens, and subsequently produces better images, also more effect features....Which I never saw the reason to have anyway..The 10 also has a starnge bulge on the opposite side from the battery which makes mounting them awkward but not impossible. They have a better tape transport and acces than the 7 too. They were discontinued a long time ago.Oh, one other thing Fonzi, they can not be hack DV in enabled like other Sonys so will only act as a camera, not a recorder.CyaD
 fonzi 0 #4 May 15, 2002 the offer at ebay says "dv in / dv out" and the seller confirmed that via mail.i looked all over the web, but did not find any notes from sony or a dealer that will confirming no dv in.no dv in not even hackable would definately suck or on the other site be a major argument for lowering the price. on the other hand that would explain, why nobody bit at ebay so far.nacmacfeegle, do you know for sure that it cannot be dv in hacked? or do you know a site confirm that? bsbd, fonzi life is to short for the pimp
 nacmacfeegle 0 #5 May 15, 2002 http://www.datavision.co.uk/Go to to dv-in, then click widget list for compatibility.Sorry dude, I know cos a friend has one......It may be a non European model though, from say Singapore, Russia, Aus, or NZ......Not sure if it was releaed in the US, most of their cams had DV-in but were not PAL.I would treat it with suspicion if DV in is important though.CyaD
 fonzi 0 #6 May 16, 2002 looks like the offer was to nice to be bought ;-(thx for the info, saved me a lot of money, not buying s.th. that isn't worth. bsbd, fonzi life is to short for the pimp
 nacmacfeegle 0 #7 May 16, 2002 No worries, any time, its what we are here for.CyaD
 fonzi 0 #8 May 16, 2002 just had contact to marc bachmann, maybe you know him, he is the webmaster of the url http://www.freefly.de.he confirmed that the dv-in is not available and that it really sucks. on the other hand he is jumping a dcr-pc10 and is getting ... let's say ...
