ramon 0 #1 May 24, 2002 For my Canon Rebel, a 28mm f/2.8 lens is ~$230. It is very compact and light (6.5 oz 1.7 " long). On Cameraworld they have a Sigma 28 mm f/1.8 for $230 also(it is sort of big (3.1 " long, 16.9 oz).Does anyone think I should buy that "twice as big" lens for the same price just to get a bigger aperture, or will I be happier with a tiny lens with a pretty good aperture. (Girls need not answer )all opinions appreciated.disclaimer (I am not even sure what "f" means except that I will get more light and the lens is usually more expensive if the number is lower)ramon
