quade 4 #2 June 11, 2002 Since you didn't want us to mention Sony, you'll notice how many responces you're getting. quadehttp://futurecam.com
thrillseek 0 #3 June 11, 2002 well, the thing is, i have the camera already. It really is a comparable machine, but i am having a hard time with the wide angle lens part of things. YES, i probably should have gotten a sony, but i didn't...i saved a few bucks, drank beer and jumped with the money, so sue me!! :)
quade 4 #4 June 11, 2002 It's not that we don't like your decision, we just don't know what to say because we don't deal with them. quadehttp://futurecam.com
nacmacfeegle 0 #5 June 11, 2002 Try and find out what the filter thread size is, then you may have to use stepper rings to take you to a wide angle in one of the more comon thread sizes. Wait a minute...30.5mm wtf? No wonder your having problems....take it to a Photo store and ask them for stepper rings up to 37mm, then get a regular W/A....Next time, get a Sony....sorry man..CyaDGR# 37Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream. freeflir29 0 #6 June 11, 2002 B&H Photo...Look it up on Google search. If it's made for a camera they have it. You'll have to call them at 1 800 606 6969 because they have so much stuff it can be fairly impossible to find what you need on the site. Don't worry...I have a Panasonic and it works great. In fact...the more people that see it, the more comments I get about how cool it looks and everyone asks me questions about it. Does everything that ANY Sony will do and I paid a lot less. I have 23 jumps on it so far and haven't had any problems. "Here I come to save the BOOBIES!"
IMGR2 0 #7 June 11, 2002 What model Panasonic do you have and is it a side-mountable camera?I'm looking for a fun jumping camera setup. Tired of the big ol' top mount setup.Bryan
freeflir29 0 #8 June 11, 2002 QuoteWhat model Panasonic do you have and is it a side-mountable camera?PC-DV252D....it was $845 on sale at Circuit City and I got a 1 year parts and labor warranty, 3 hour battery, and some tapes for a grand total of $1086 tax included. It's quite a bit shorter than a PC-5 but wider. About the same width as a 5 with the fat battery. I have it side mounted and have had zero problems. Great camera so far.
