CBurket 0 #3 August 7, 2002 I am getting ready to buy a camera and was considering the IP5 until I was told about this problem from my camera dealer. They told me that the camera would require special hardware installed into your computer so that you could import the footage. After it is imported it is MPEG2 format which Preimere and many other editors can work with. I'm assuming you just need the special hardware that communicates with the camera's "Blue Tooth" technology which I'm sure Sony would be glad to sell you. I would get onto Adobe's website and search it to see if there's anything there, if not, call technical support. The MPEG on a DVD is -NOT- suitable for editing purposes for a number of reasons. The MPEG on the IP-5 is also -NOT- compatable with most editing software currently on the market. It would be possible to take the video in ANALOG if your editing system has that capability, but you're losing quite a bit of signal quality in doing so.
