PhreeZone 20 #1 August 12, 2002 My advice to all camera flyers is to rely on more then the Dbox to keep your camera in place and on your helmet. I helped a friend pick up parts from his PC100 after the dbox opened and the camera fell out at the WFFC this year. The Dbox was one of the original boxes that were 2 piece with no area to use a thumbscrew. The connector buckle slipped off the webbing and the box opened and bye bye went the camera. So anyone that is using a setup with out screws or hard mounts might want to look into this before they have to spend time picking up parts from their camera.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
mountainman 0 #2 August 13, 2002 Is the thumbscrew the one on the bottom of the camera that attaches it to the box itself? Thanks, Phree.http://www.brandonandlaura.com
jceman 1 #3 August 14, 2002 You guys actually FOUND the camera? I'm impressed! Did the tape play? Any cool shots? Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
PhreeZone 20 #4 August 14, 2002 Found the camera... not the tape or the battery. The battery can be found at the next rain when the LI reacts with the water... We filled a Gallon ziplock bag with all sort of parts from it. It impacted on tarmack (Good spot) and the choppers blew the parts around a bit. Major parts missing include: Tape, Battery, lens, and parts of the case. The thumbscrew is the one that goes through the bottom of the box and mounts on the tripod screwhole on the camera. I'd get 2 or 3 of them since they are easy things to lose.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
