JohnnyZ 0 #1 March 2, 2003 I've been in search of an open eared composite helmet for use on hotter days. I've come close, but havent found exactly what I'm looking for. A jumper in the Javelin Odyssey ad on page 60 of Feb. '02's Parachutist has what I'm looking for. Can anybody out there help me?

JohnnyZ 0 #4 March 2, 2003 Yeah, I checked out the Riders Rage from Bonehead, but that's designed for motorcycle riding. It looks too much like a salad bowl. I'd like to find somebody that makes one that is more form-fitting... One that drops down behind the ear. I appreciate your input...

riggerrob 643 #10 March 3, 2003 Hey dude, don't be dissing Gath helmets. Helmet hair can be a real bummer! Like, it can take forever to comb the dreads out of your doo! All that combing seriously cuts into party time! And like not having a place to mount your Dytter can be a real bummer! Like man, you might actually have to remember how many jumps you did dude! Hmm, looking at your avatar of the Agg swooping hard, hair blowing back in the breeze, .....thinking whuffoe he slag off Gaths? He no wear no hat at all....Hey they are good for bolting cameras too as well you know, they're not entirely useless...And think of all the Shiner I can buy with the money I save by not buying a Bonehead...Especially if you buy your Gath from a non skydiving store. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. AggieDave 6 #12 March 3, 2003 Yeah, I do like the camera setup you have on your Gath, with the bag and stuff. Very cool. (I have developed this bad habit of not wearing a helmet or goggles on hop-n-pops, I've got to quit that)--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." nacmacfeegle 0 #14 March 4, 2003 "Very cool." Nice of you to say so Dave, It must be all that duct tape that appeals to country boy in you... I built that helmet shortly after PC7s became available (97-98 ish). The only alternative was to go top mount on my Leo Dickinson helmet, or build my own. D-boxes simply weren't available, and the sidewinders had just been released..... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
