novacaine 0 #1 October 12, 2002 Could anyone out there help me out? I'd like to get into freefall photography. The camera that I'll be using is a Canon EOS 3000. (It's the cheapest camera I own.) I'm trying to see what helmets most cameramen are using, and also what type of shutter release cable. With the shutter release cable, what do most of you prefer, wired or wireless? I guess each system has pros and cons. "I'd rather be rich, then stupid"
PhreeZone 20 #2 October 12, 2002 Top mounts are the most popular for stills. Personally I'd learn to shoot video first so your not wasting roll after roll of film on the learning process. With video you get instant feedback and can learn about your placement for lighting and height above and stuff like that. Also its best if you get at least 200 or more jumps before you start straping things onto your body or head.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Deuce 1 #3 October 14, 2002 Yes. What Phree said. Or, for the cost of developing all that film, get a digital you could use to learn framing. JP
