jumpjunkie 0 #1 November 11, 2002 Situation: I jumped my PC9 several times, worked great, and then sent my helmet off to get repainted. I got it back this week-end and made several jumps with the whole setup. When I reviewed my tape it showed that the camera was recording for several seconds, turning off, coming back on, etc, etc, etc. Is there a feature on the camera that would cause it do behave this way? If so, where is it? Menus? On the camera? And could something have happened to the CamEye that could cause this to happen? I did notice that the indicator light on the CamEye would blink sometimes even when the camera was off. Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.

underdog 0 #3 November 11, 2002 unplug the cameye-II and see if it keeps doing it......if it works ok with it unpluged then the problem is either with the cameye or the lanc port good luck
PhreeZone 20 #4 November 11, 2002 My PC-110 fried its LANC port and firewire port this summer and I got very similar things happening.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Zlew 0 #5 November 11, 2002 I'm not even sure that my camera has the function(PC5)...but My old PC 100 did have a switch for 3 different ways to shoot. Normal ( you push hte button, it rec's, push again it stops), 10 sec : push the button, it rec's 10 sec's and then stops. and also had one where you had to hold down the button for it to plaly at all and as soon as you let go of the button it stopped. On the PC 100 it was a horizontal switch by all of the night shot and other side mounted switches. You might see if that has anything to do with it. vidiot 0 #6 November 12, 2002 Actually there is such function. Check whether you have accidently set 'Int Rec' (Intervall Recording, used for time-lapse recordings) to on. HTH, KlausMy Logbook
konradptr 0 #7 November 13, 2002 That is true.. The interval recording feature is cool, when that is what you want, but that would suck if the solution was that easy to fix.... ------------------------------------------ Getting banned isn't that bad...... TheMonkey 0 #9 November 13, 2002 just curious, in what situation would you ever use a function like time lapse recording? maybe if a little cousin was on a merri-go-round (sp?) and you were running out of tape?!?!!! --------------------- Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience! PhreeZone 20 #10 November 13, 2002 Or if you set it on a tripod hooked up to power and have it record the night sky. The video would show all the stars moving in a circle.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
vidiot 0 #11 November 13, 2002 Good question. From the top of my head, without really wanting to do it myself: Opening of a flower bud, sunrise, sunset, anything that takes hours for something really happening. What I was thinking of though, was to set up the cam on the roof of my camper in the early morning to film the dz waking up. Unfortunatly, I didn't get up early enough in the mornings and was to drun^H^H^H^Htired in the evenings.,, If you filmed something moving quickly (i.e. carousel), you'd only see a blur. jumpjunkie 0 #12 November 13, 2002 I think that I fixed the problem. I took eveything out, tape, battery, and memory stick, reset everything and then reprogrammed all of my settings. Then I put in a fresh tape and battery and eveything seems to be working now. Thanks for all of the help guys. Would have gotten back sooner but it is hard when I don't have a computer at home and have to use one in between classes. Thanks again. Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.
