VHS to AVI

Recommended Posts

An easy way of doing it is to plug the VHS into your camcorder, then firewire the camcorder to your laptop. You could then use Premiere, or MovieMaker, or pretty much anything to save it as an AVI file.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I've been spending most of my time out of town and away from a computer. Pretty similar to what Andyman said. I just hook the RCA's up to my camera from my TV/VCR (depending on what I want to digitize) and then firewire it to my computer and edit it with ULead MediaStudio Pro. I'm still pretty new to the whole editing scene, so I'm not doing anything really impressive, but it's been pretty easy for me to pick up.
