Casch 0 #1 November 29, 2002 Is there anyone remotely near Portland that could transfer my first jump video and my grad jump video to avi so I can do some editing? I'd really appreciate it.
Spy38W 0 #2 November 30, 2002 If worse comes to worse, I'm in Florida and would do it so long as you cover shipping -- Hook high, flare on time

AndyMan 7 #4 November 30, 2002 An easy way of doing it is to plug the VHS into your camcorder, then firewire the camcorder to your laptop. You could then use Premiere, or MovieMaker, or pretty much anything to save it as an AVI file. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
Casch 0 #5 November 30, 2002 Yeah it's too bad I don't have a camcorder, or any firewire hardware

Spy38W 0 #9 December 4, 2002 Sorry for the delay in responding, I've been spending most of my time out of town and away from a computer. Pretty similar to what Andyman said. I just hook the RCA's up to my camera from my TV/VCR (depending on what I want to digitize) and then firewire it to my computer and edit it with ULead MediaStudio Pro. I'm still pretty new to the whole editing scene, so I'm not doing anything really impressive, but it's been pretty easy for me to pick up. -- Hook high, flare on time
