Tandem music

Music for tandems, what are your best music tracks that add to the atmoshere and excitement of tandems, ie kitting up, the flight up, exit, freefall. As I think the music can add a great deal to the end result of tandem videos.

My 2 favorites these days are "Knocking on Heaven's Door (the GnR version) for the pre-jump stuff and Teach Me How to Fly (off the Spiderman soundtrack) for the freefall.

But man, theres a buncha good tracks out there!

One of my favorites that we seem to repeatedly use at my DZ is "Shine" by Collective Soul.

Attatched is the list of songs I made for our head vidiot to use. I've since have updated it with all the top 20 airplay songs from the last few months too, but don't have that on the actual list yet.

We give em two songs, one for the way up, and one we play from exit to landing.

I'm fond of the Top Gun soundtrack, but I'm dating myself.

We also let them use their own Cd's if they want.

we let the student's pick.

if they let me pick, i like million miles away from the offspring for the freefall part. 90% of the time the song fades out right when i'm landing (i leave camera on during my canopy ride down). the students think it's so cool how that's timed. :)

Hi,
I I'm new to this. I've only done two tandems. The first time I had Right Now by Van Halen on the way up and POD Alive on the way down - I thought it worked real good with the video. The second time I had a Beautiful day by U2 on the way up and Wish you were Here by Incubus on the way down.

I personally just like what ever happens to be on the radio that week.

Time of your life - Greenday is always a favorite from as soon as I get under canopy to play through the 15-20 seconds for the canopy then the transfer to them coming down and landing. I keep it playing softly in the back ground till after the interview and then crank it back up again.
