rmcvey 0 #1 December 3, 2002 Does any one use a bonehead top mount with a TRV style video. Just curious how you mount the video camera onto the flat top mount?
chachi 0 #2 December 3, 2002 I use a TRV 110 and a Flat Top Pro. I use a thumbscrew and a band over it to keep it from turning. Try to put a shock cord over the viewfinder to keep it down or it can flip up and break, kinda like mine did. ~Chachi
quade 4 #3 December 3, 2002 Without a doubt the simplest way to deal with the TRV type cameras on any top mount is to use a dBox from Bonehead. Because the TRV style cameras all load their MiniDV tapes from the bottom, it's kind of a pain in the ass to have to unscrew the camera just to change it. With the dBox, you undo a couple of straps and bingo the camera is off the helmet and ready for tape changes or ground shots. The ONLY drawback of the dBox is that it makes reviewing footage on the built in screens a bit more of a hassle, because you have to remove the camera from it.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
