iam 0 #1 December 22, 2002 Hi, I have a Canon Eos 1000FN (Canon Rebel S in the USA i think) SLR that I have had for a few years now. I would like to bolt it on my head, but have just noticed there is no facility for an external shutter release!!! I never bought this camera with the intention of jumping with it, but it would seem such a waste if I couldn't as it is such a good camera. Has anyone solved this problem or is it confined to the bottom of a drawer? I would be eternally gratefull if someone can help. Thanks in advance."Don't ever knock on deaths door, just ring the bell and run away - it really pisses him off"
Zlew 0 #2 December 23, 2002 Hummm..... Well, I've taken pics before when my switch broke ( a few times actually) just by reaching up and using my finger as normal. It works, but doesn't work well if the skydive is anything but normal (moving around the sky etc.).... Not the best thing in the world, but you can get a few pics. If you want it to be a real still camera for jumping you really need to find one that has a external shutter relase avalible. I've never seen a canon SLR that didn't....but have never heard of yoru camera. Z
SickMonkey 0 #3 December 23, 2002 Try this. On the right side of the camera you should see a small little circle. This is actually a plug that protects the conection for your shutter release. Pop it out and plug in your shutter release. If this doesn't work.... oh well.
