Craig 0 #1 January 8, 2003 Does anyone have one of these or know someone who does? If so how do you like them? And for the record do you know of anyone who has them in stock? I found a pic of one about a week back but now I can't remember where I seen it. It seems pretty nice and I also came across this on a web page "The NVertigoX will soon be available with a chin-cup for added stability, which will be fitted with an emergency release." I was wondering if this release system only came with the helmet and chin cup or it came as a kit when you buy the chin cup only? Thanks.
harro 0 #2 January 8, 2003 Hey there, I bought a vertigo X helmet and it was the worst purchase in skydiving yet. I got the chin cup with it and on its 15th jump the chin cup ripped off. Not happy with them at all. I could probably complain about this but I dont want another one and guess what ? No-one wants to buy the helmet either. Its in my pile of shit to be disposed of!!!! My 2 cents and with tax you have a shaving of a cent!Jumpy Jumpy??
TheMonkey 0 #3 January 8, 2003 i put the skycup on my nvertigo post purchase when i mounted a camera....no release mechanism on it, so i would assume that would come on the helmet form the factory....fairly comfortable and no problems thus far.... --------------------- Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience! Is it true that these are lower profile than Boneheads chin cups? thanks again edit: just wanted to add that I am only interested in the chin cup, I already have a helmet to put it on (old style Bonehead with external audible pocket)
psw097 0 #5 January 9, 2003 I have a skysystems chin cup. It has been working without much problems. It did crack at the very edge - nothing serious. In retrospect I should have purchased a Bonehead chin cup. The coverage is better and it is better built, IMO. You can buy everything seperate, last I knew. I added a release mechanism to mine - simple addition really.
