BoobieCootie 0 #1 April 24, 2003 A local camera store is selling refurbished units for $200. Is this a good price for a starter kit? I've found a pretty extensive review of the camera and it's manual. I haven't been able to find out if I could connect a remote switch to it however. And Harbortronics doesn't list the camera among those compatible with the DigiSnap. In other words, if I bought this camera, should I just live w/ the fact that I'll never be able to use it for freefall photography?
Deborah 0 #2 April 24, 2003 The Coolpix 775 doesn't have a serial port so it is not going to be compatible with the Nikon remote or our remote (Harbortronics). The Nikon cameras that are compatible with the remotes are the 880/885/950/990/995/4300/4500/5000/5700 and some earlier Coolpix cameras. Hope this helps! Cajones 0 #4 April 25, 2003 If your local Best Buy still has them, they put the 5000 on clearance for under $600. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.
