grosfion 0 #1 May 5, 2003 I have the following problem: I can capture the video from my PC9 and cut it with Premiere 6.5. But if I want to play the timeline back to the camcorder it does not work. I'm using Windows 2000 and it worked with XP (but had to change it). Do I need a PC9 driver for Windows 2000? mountainman 0 #2 May 5, 2003 As far as how you put it back to tape, tell us your method of trying. Now, to capture... make sure that your "setup" screens correct. Sometimes, it turns off what controls the camera. That's the problem I have: I can import video from the camera and edit it just fine, but I cannot export more than a few seconds of video to the camera properly. What card are you using? grosfion 0 #4 May 6, 2003 as I said the option to record the timeline back to tape was working with the Windows XP version (but with the problems of getting blue shots in the video). So I switched to Win 2000 and now I need a Sony driver for Win 2000 and I don't know were to get it. Fire Wire card should be fine.... Make sure the card is showing up in your Device Manager as an OHCI compliant device, and it's on its own IRQ. The IRQ is most likely what's going to clear up your problems. During the Operating System install, it's likely the card was assigned an IRQ that's being shared with another device. IRQ sharing is less than ideal. I always do "print to tape" and then right when I hit start for that, I start the recording of my tape. I always thought that was how you should do it. Cajones 0 #8 May 9, 2003 Does your camera display the video during playback? Make sure your camera is on and connected before you open Premiere. Highlight the timeline, and press Enter. starshiptrooper 0 #9 May 13, 2003 I don't know if this is a solution to your problem, but it may help. Don't forget when you go to put video from your cpu to your camera, you have to make sure your camera is recording....just like when you fire wire from one camera to another. Also, 6.5 and windows 2000 is what I'm using too...I had problems with it crashing all the time..so I uninstalled 6.5, then reinstalled it and everythings fine.
