motherhucker 0 #1 May 6, 2003 Does anyone know where the "Copy Inhibit" message comes from? When I try to copy parts of different DVD's onto my mini DV camera, I get this "Copy Inhibit" message on the camera. Does this come from my camera or from the DVD itself? Anyone know a way around it? I'm using a standard Sony DVD player, NOT a DVD-ROM drive on a computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
slayer21016 2 #2 May 6, 2003 I know that if your on a mac you can use eye-tv and import right to your hard drive. eye-tv does not see the protection on the DVD and then you can export to another DVD or your camcorder with no protection issues. PC's i don't know about.

indyz 1 #4 May 7, 2003 Your camera is probably detecting the Macrovision copy protection. There's a pretty good chance that you can turn Macrovision off. Google will have all of the answers.
