Nikon Coolpix 5000 advice

Recommended Posts

I am thinking of getting a Nikon Coolpix 5000 but have heard that there can be a problem with the auto focus when you press the button there is a delay while the camera tries focus can the camera be set on manual focus
Is there any known issues with this camera
Many thanks
John

The Harbortronics remote control is definitely the way to go. The control can be programmed to put the camera in a specific mode, turn off the LCD (to save batteries), set the focal length, etc. They also allow the easy connection of a tongue switch and LCD for feedback.

You likely will be happy with the native Nikon lens. It is a 28mm equivalent, with no wide adapter. The wide adapters/fish-eye make a super-wide FOV.

I'd like to see some of those!

I haven't invested in the adapter, but I've seen some of the fish-eye photos. Great effect, and humongous FOV.

200 degrees... You can almost see yourself in the frame...B|
