This seems to me to be probably the most sensible approach I have ever seen. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. tictoc 0 #32 July 7, 2003 QuoteQuoteWell, I asked a certain camera flyer / AFF jump master we know to look it up, since clearly she ought to have a copy somewhere at her house. I'd be willing to cut her some slack since she's sick and all, but she's been working on her web site and posting, so she's clearly awake. ok....I was eating a bit of dinner.... So other people can look it up, go to http://www.relativeworkshop.com. Their Vector Tandem Manual says exactly what my IRM says. Page: 95. "A: Participants qualifications For any relative worker to accompany a Tandem pair, the following criteria must be met. 1) Relative worker must have a minimum of 500 relative work skydives; or 2) Relative worker must be either a current Tandem Instructor or a current AFF Jumpmaster. 3) Relative worker must have made at least 100 relative work jumps in the last year. 4) Cameramen must meet all the above guidlines, and in addition, must have at least 100 camera jumps." ltdiver Strong also has the same rec. As we all know the DZ's will do what they will do. But just remember that if some thing were to happen you, the tandam master and the DZ would be setting your self up for a lawsuit because the manufactures recomandations were not followed. in the end it is not USPA and it is not you S&TA who make the decition. I think it is great that you all are able to start geting payed as soon as you have and I encurage people to get as good as they can as quick as they can. But remember this 1000 happy faces will never replace 1 hurt one. Just my $.02-------------------------------------------------------- Some one must go to the edge for others to be able to find it. But if you go be sure you can make it back.
