flyhy 0 #1 June 2, 2003 Hi. Does anybody know the improvements of the PC 105 compared to the 'old' 101? In most places you get the 105 even cheaper than the 101, why????
alain 0 #2 June 3, 2003 the 105 is slightly cheaper (not every where thou) but is delivered with a crappy NP-FM30 battery whereas the 101 is shipped with a very usefull NP-FM50 (worth $80) I understand that the only new stuff on the 105 (vs 101) is the copy to DVD feature, with is useless for what we do (just my 0.02 euro) I've chosen the 101 'cause it's a proven product for skydiving. Cookie 0 #3 June 3, 2003 How does the PC105 compare to size with the PC101. I manufacture Carbon fibre boxes for Mini DV camera's and haven't been able to get my hand's on one to see if it is the same size or bigger. Alround general concensis is that the PC101 is a very skydiving friendly camera will the robustness that only a Sony camera can offer. See some of you camera guys at the World Champs in France. alain 0 #4 June 3, 2003 the 105 and 103 are the same size: 5.1x10.4x9.7 cm the 101 is 5.5x10.5x9.9cm i'm not sure if the 4mm less in width are measured with or without the battery ?
