JayhawkJumper 0 #1 July 14, 2003 For those of you who have 10D's, what type of memory cards and capacity do you use? What speed do you need for fast shooting while jumping?
Deuce 1 #2 July 14, 2003 http://www.pcconnection.com/scripts/showcase/productdetail.asp?product_id=299335&vendor=Simpletech That card is overkill. It holds almost 500 files. I can keep 4 days worth of boogie pictures in there. Check the threads here, I posted a link that Quade gave me regarding the speed of the different cards. It really affects how quickly your camera can go. That said, those Simpletech cards, well the gig one anyway, are plenty fast enough. And it's so fun to look at the indicator when it says "338 pictures left"
fasterfaller 0 #3 July 14, 2003 I use transcend cards . I mostly use 256 and 512 cards because if you lose a card you dont lose as much as with a single 1 gig card . Transcend is going to have a 45x card out soon . I take out about 3-5 gig's worth depending on what am shooting . I shoot mostly in the raw format as it is much easier to process this way . For skydiving and base I use the second large setting down on the menu due to a more compressed file size and a faster write time . I have captured bursts of up to 12 frames like this . I have used and tested all the cf cards out there and transcend still has the edge over all athoers theat I have tried .
