EricTheRed 0 #1 July 14, 2003 I just got a small scratch very near the middle of my Kenko WA lens. Am I doomed? Can this be polished out? Any suggestions out there? Thnxillegible usually
wlie 0 #2 July 14, 2003 Depends on how deep and how wide it is. Most of the time you might not even notice any distortion from small nicks. I've got a Kenko WA myself and by putting a UV filter to protect it against scratches, I end up with vignating (please correct my spelling). What I do believe it or not and it works wonderfully, is I use saran wrap in it's place. I secure it with a small packing rubber band.My other ride is the relative wind. Deuce 1 #3 July 14, 2003 Well, your'e not doomed, those lenses are almost as inexpensive as UV filters these days. If you're shooting for money, you are obliged to replace it. Hey, at least it's not the camera!
EricTheRed 0 #4 July 14, 2003 Unfortunately it's almost dead center, doesn't always show up but if people are paying... Guess it's time for a new lens illegible usually
Deuce 1 #5 July 15, 2003 If people are paying. Replace it. Period. I endorse the Diamond line. But who the hell am I?
