BigM 2 #1 July 21, 2003 Has anyone had any success sit flying in their camera wing suits? Not just on their back, but actually sit flying. I have tried a couple of times but no garbonzo beans yet. Any tips (if it's even possible) are appreciated. Blue 111- Jeff "When I die, I want to go like my grandmother, who died peacefully in her sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in her car." jdhill 0 #2 July 21, 2003 I spent a good part of this weekend sitflying under 40-ways... strong legs, and a slightly more reclined position than straight up and down, arms back... it isn't easy, but it is certainly doable. Deuce 1 #3 July 21, 2003 One of the camera fliers at my DZ has a dedicated sit suit he uses. He's an older guy (60's) and he finds the sit wing to be way more comfortable. It's made of two wings on the front and back of the arms with ribs holding them together.

Blue 111- Jeff I actually see more guys sitflying their camera suits then belly flying (okay so I don't really like FS and watch tandem videos/freestyle stuff more). They use either a regular full-wing camera suit or a double-winged sit-suit (like Deuce mentioned). For an example of camerflying in a sit suit, see the video on http://www.freestyleteamrotterdam.nl/ (dutch nationals 2002 freefly/freestyle, by Marco Tiezzie, look for Henny Wiggers in red/white/blue filming Svetlana in grey/white/red). I know I've seen vid of sitflying in a fullwing camera suit somewhere, probably of Henny too, just can't find it right now..... ciel bleu, Saskia
BigM 2 #5 July 22, 2003 AWESOME video! I have a sit suit although I haven't used it for video work yet. I will, just haven't done it yet. I guess all these issues can be worked out with a LOT MORE jumps! HA!... another excuse to go jumping more, I need to go "work" on things! garywainwright 0 #6 July 22, 2003 Some camera suits are better than others for this. The Tony C wing is excellent. The difference seems to be if the wing is attached to the front of the arm rather than the seam. I weigh 205lbs and sit fly with a C wing all the timehttp://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
