VisionAir 0 #2 August 23, 2003 Nothing's stopping you....It's what I started with...but don't expect to be invited to video anything important due to it's lesser quality video. Gotta start somewhere tho...You'll upgrade soon enough. Huh?!? What cloud?!? Oh that!!! That's just Industrial Haze Alex M.
noods 0 #3 August 25, 2003 Hi Wayne there is nothing to stop you but it would be a good idea to talk it through with your CCI Ian (if you jump mostly at Peterlee as your profile suggests). Alternatively Dave Mitchell, Bryn or Chris at Peterlee will give you good advice (on jumping camera anyway). Ed
WayneRATS 0 #4 August 26, 2003 been talking to bryn, he said that the groovy small sonys are only about 400 quid for a decent setup anyway!.. besides it's about 140 jumps away :)------------------------ Can You Ere Me Now?

WrongWay 0 #8 August 27, 2003 That's a cool cam, but they're right, there will be no imortant stuff cuz of the loss of quality, and editing can be a pain in the ass if you're used to digital. Plus, size matters. Granted, I'm one of those freeflyers with the smallest camera on the market in a side mount helmet, so I'm used to not having to worry about this, but I don't like the idea of big stuff on my head, ready to snag lines........
