Michael McGowan - Camera Operator ?

I was watching "last of the mohicans" last night and as I was reading the ending credits, I saw his name as a Camera Operator. Coincidence, or was he at one time working in the movie industry ?

Or maybe he works in the film industry as well.

At IMDB there is a mike mcgowan jr. listed and a mike mcgowan sr.
