i have a new pc 105 and i'm looking for a .42 lens that will fit it. i ordered a kenko that my friend has. it's much bigger than his is. i found one that says its made for "extreme sports" it's made by the same company and looks much smaller in the pics. neither web sites i've found give the dimensions of the lens.

i would like some input on where to get a lens that is good for jumping

Have you tried looking in, "Maybe another hundred jumps might be a good idea before putting on a distraction (read: camera)"?

If you don't have any luck there, you may find something in "That canopy seems really small and aggresive for someone with 200 jumps".

Good luck with your search.

FYI-Met Marty for the first time on Friday. His wing loading is in the neighborhood of 1.25 or very close to that.
BTW-Your response was a little 'aggressive' to say the least.

If you do a little search you'll see we talk about this all the time, but first there is one point I'd like to make.

Manufacturer's are not really all that good at being precise when talking about their wide angle lenses -- specifically when it comes to being accurate about the wideness of the lens.

For instance, I have a lens from one manufacturer that is a 0.45 and it's not nearly as wide as the 0.6 I have from Sony. By the designation, the 0.45 ought to be wider than the 0.6 -- but it's not. Shop around a bit and see if you can con some local camera flyers into letting you try out a lens or two on your camera.

It's also going to depend on the type of camera flying you want to do.
