PD126r 0 #1 September 25, 2003 Does anyone have comments on the different camerasuit-brands? I was thinking about Bev, Merlin and Tonysuit. Any comments, good or bad?
ltdiver 3 #2 September 25, 2003 I love my Bev Suit, but then again I'm only 170-185 lbs out the door! Bev Suits look great on women, but I'm not sure how flattering they are on the men folk. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
Miami 0 #3 September 25, 2003 QuoteDoes anyone have comments on the different camerasuit-brands? I was thinking about Bev, Merlin and Tonysuit. Any comments, good or bad? I have 3 tony camera suits, 2 a-wings (big wings) and a c-wing (mounted on the front of the arm for butt flying). They have all treated me very well (8 jumpsuits from tony over the years, they better treat me well!). I just ordered a new camera suit from Firefly, and I have heard great things about them. I'll try and post pics here when it arrives. Good luck!Miami
chachi 0 #4 September 25, 2003 I use a Firefly freefly camera suit for all types of video and it is the best suit I have ever used. Do not in any way order a freedommeanschoice jumpsuit. I don;t think they make a camera suit but whatever don't order from them. ~Chachi
teamhypoxia 0 #5 September 25, 2003 Why not? I have three of them, including a camera suit and they're great.
chachi 0 #6 September 25, 2003 Well, I did write a review including emails but only the written portion of what I wrote got posted. Basically it turned out not to fit properly but because I told her I at first liked it mainly due to it being a great looking suit she told me after I complained about fit I would have to pay 35US per hour for her to repair it. About 3 hours would be needed because it was built to long and wide in the chest. Zero after sales service is the reason I would not buy or suggest someone buying one. ~Chachi
WFFC 1 #7 September 25, 2003 was there a mistake in the measurements somewhere? Did you make a mistake on the order form? If so, the suit was built as requested. If Karen made an error I agree with you that she should fix it. Question is, where does the error lie?

There's LOTS of suit manufacturers with great prices that make awesome suits, and customer service is one of the biggest things people base their purchases on. For every suit manufacturer that with charge 35 bucks an hour to repair a mistake, there is one that will do it for free and send you some goodies back with the suit. .Vid "stons fal, evrysing fals, but doesnt on purpos change its flite pas an positioning..." shindig 0 #10 September 26, 2003 FireFly suits are the best I think. I have 9 of them and about every camera guy at my DZ wears one. Especially the 2 peace suits. You can do so much with a 2 peace its unreal. And yea I do have 9 of them.

For every suit manufacturer that with charge 35 bucks an hour to repair a mistake, there is one that will do it for free and send you some goodies back with the suit. . Well here it is, I have no problem justifying my request if I am going to give someone a bad review. I had a tailor measure me and it was the same person that measured me and it was the same measurements as my Firefly camera suit. When I got the suit I used it a couple times in Arizona and Karen asked what I thought of it. I told her I liked it although it seemes a little big. Well I mostly did cmaera in Eloy and had very little opportunity to use the suit and evaluate it. I got home and went like 4 months till jumping season here and then started using the suit. Well it is a lot to big. It would fit someone about 3-4 inches taller in the body then I am and it is very baggy around and too slow. I sent her an email and explained it. I neither got fat nor skinny over the winter and when I explained this she said she would not only charge me but suggested it may be in my best interest to start over. Well that was it Firefly managed to build me the perfect suit based on my measurements and I know they would have fixed it if it didn't fit properly. I ordered a freefly suit not a pair of big coveralls and that is what I got. As far as durability and patter and the look, those are all great but I am now going to go pay someone a bunch of money here to see if they can fix it and that doesn't sit well with me. So that is the scoop and whoever wrote that there are lots of people that would make sure thier customer was happy that is true and I have found that Michigan, Firefly, Tony, Bev.....etc would do that and Karen from freedommeanschoice didn't so I feel I should pass on my evaluation. ~Chachi
