gremlin 0 #1 October 7, 2003 Have just bought myself a cheap (e-bay) PC7. I want to use it to film my fs students. I wouldn't mind using it to record fs jumps and don't freefly. I normally jump in a factory diver. What would be a good helmet to look for - and does anyone have one going cheap I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine.... webracer 0 #2 October 8, 2003 your best bet would be to find a sidewinder, if you can. Otherwise you'll have to use an openface or dedicated camera helmet. I have a professional camera helmet for sale, Paramount Stealth, email betsy@para-concepts.com for info. TroyTroy I am now free to exercise my downward mobility. meerkatt 0 #3 October 8, 2003 just grab a gath or even a protec & bolt an aluminum l-plate to it. Watch out for the lens assembly ... thats the weakest part of of a pc7.
Wags 0 #4 October 8, 2003 QuoteWatch out for the lens assembly ... thats the weakest part of of a pc7. I have replaced my lens assembly once, so I agree with you there. But, if you do it yourself, it's not very expensive. I own the setup with others, and have it in a Sidewinder. It works great. I also made a mount for a still on top. The lens came off in a skiing accident. Yes, you can use your video helmet in other sports. ( If you're careful.) Blue Skies, Wags
